Deschamps responds to criticism: "I’m not living in a bunker.

The French coach downplayed the resignations demanded after the defeat (1-3) against Italy and stressed that the French want to respond to the bad results with a victory over Belgium
After the defeat (1-3) against Italy in the first round of the Nations League, the tone of criticism around the continuity of Didier Deschamps as France's national coach increased.

In a press conference ahead of the match against Belgium, the French coach addressed the issue and, although he takes "full responsibility" for the defeat against the transalpines, he stressed that he is immune to criticism from abroad.

«Harshness in criticism? I'm not here to judge, it's part of my job. I'm immersed, I do my own analyses based on internal elements that you don't have. Everyone is free to write whatever they want. I don't live in a bunker, I know a lot of different people too. The fans are not happy that we lost 3-1. I understand it and it's part of my life as a coach," Deschamps said, adding that les bleus' desire is to respond to the defeat by beating Belgium on Monday.

"When there is a negative result, it is good to react and turn the page in the right direction. I can't be satisfied with the game against Italy, nor the players. Tomorrow [Monday] is a different match, a different context, a different team with the same obligation. It is always good to work in search of reversing an unfavorable situation, even if the objective I had assumed was to give as much playing time as possible to the maximum number of players.
